Information:
Acitrezza, characterized by large rocks of lava stones that emerge from the water forming a small archipelago in a postcard scenery. These stacks are also called the Islands of the Cyclops, because they are believed to be the stones that Polyphemus threw against Ulysses in the Odyssey. They are known to the great audience thanks to the novel written by Giovanni Verga "I Malavoglia" and the masterpiece "La terra trema" written by Luchino Visconti.
Not far away from Acitrezza, the unmistakably beautiful Norman Castle of Aci Castello is situated, which stands on a promontory of lava rock overlooking the sea.
Riposto, a fishing village called "Porto dell'Etna" because of the many boats that stopped by to embark the Sicilian wine aboard.
Giardini Naxos, the first Greek colony in Sicily, that is a charming place to visit especially for its beaches.
