The Madonie Park The Madonie Park became part of the European Geoparks Network in 2001 and is situated in the Province of Palermo along the Southern Appennini Mountains. In this area, you can see the traces of the whole geological history of the island. The park is home to several castles and numerous ancient churches, dozens of little villages and small towns from the medieval times.

Isnello, s a small village situated in the highest mountain of Sicily, Pizzo Carbonara. The Castle of Isnello was a defensive structure with double walls of the medieval origin.

Gangi,also called Gioiello d'Italia is a village surrounded by green hills, and in the small streets of the center you can still feel a medieval atmosphere.

Petralia Soprana, is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and the municipality with the highest latitude of all the Park of Madonie, reaching and even exceeding 1600 meters in height.

''Museo sotto sale''. In Petralia Soprana one of the largest extractor salt quarries is located, active since the seventies. The galleries that develop in 12 levels to a depth of 400 meters. Seven years ago, the museum started to model blocks of salt with chisels to create works of art.

Cefalu’ is a Norman town, included in the club of "The most beautiful villages in Italy".
