You arrive on the island of Salina, in the Aeolian Islands, thinking of going on vacation, you will soon realize that instead it is an experience that leaves its mark. The Mediterranean has an infinite number of wonderful places but here the Homeric, mythical, volcanic and historical atmosphere can be breathed in the air and pervades us intimately.

The Sicilian nature of the people is found in the cordiality and hospitality that is sacred.

The specific and unique architecture is one of the main characteristics of the island together with the sublime visions of continuous ever-changing panoramas that rest the gaze; the intense perfumes and the silences give space to the breath of the soul.

The Hotel Mamma Santina, our family-run hotel, was born out of all this, adding those services which also complement the pleasures of the body: the cuisine which is the same as that which our grandmothers taught us, the cool air conditioning for the famous sirocco nights when it should happen, the possibility of a dip in the pool in the lemon garden.

This is our island, that of our fathers and grandfathers, we grew up on it and with it and we will be able to suggest you all the most complete information to get to know the mountain in depth with its woods and the nature reserve, the places and the most also significant to the other islands each with its own peculiarities.

The rooms of the Hotel Mamma Santina are located between terraces and gardens with typical Mediterranean plants, in a private and peaceful atmosphere. They are all very large and airy, furnished with refined simplicity.

The names of the rooms are a tribute to the inhabitants of the "mare nostrum", the language is the Sicilian dialect: u pruppu, a murina, u saracu, names that bring you into the language of every Aeolian fisherman.

You can relax in the hammocks on the terraces or look out from the balconies, you are captivated by a wonderful panorama that from dawn to dusk offers plays of light and ever-changing and unique colors that envelop the silhouettes of the nearby islands.

There are three types of rooms, standard, superior and suite, ready to welcome couples and families, all equipped with every comfort: air conditioning, minibar, satellite TV, WiFi, safe, telephone, large bathrooms with shower and some with Jacuzzi.

Nothing is left to chance and all the furnishing objects tell a fascinating and unique story, a story that is lost in the time of the Aeolian tradition.
